The city of Perm is situated on the bank of the Kama River upon hilly terrain (the right bank). The city has a number of small rivers and brooks. The largest of them are the Mulyanka, Yegoshikha, Motoviliha (all are on the left bank of Kama River). The climate here is continental with warm summers and long cold winters. It is well known for its fur trade. Saint Stephen of Perm is credited with the transformation of the local population to Christianity in the late 14th century. In the 19th century, Perm aroused as a major trade and industrial center with a population of more than 20,000 people in the 1860s. Several metallurgy, paper and steam boat producing factories cropped up including one owned by a British entrepreneur .In 1916 Perm State University [a premier educational institution in modern Russia] emerged. The city was targeted because of its munitions factories after the outbreak of the Russian civil war. Industrial growth was primarily seen in the 1930 as because aviation, shipbuilding and chemical factories were built during that period.

Almost 80% of the city's population is employed in manufacturing. The city is a major hub for administration, industrialization, science and culture! The prime industries include machinery, defense, oil production (about 3% of Russian output), oil refining, chemical and petrochemical, timber and wood processing and the food industry. It reveals that the country has a steady economic growth and there by real estate sale dealings Perm would undoubtedly turn out to be a fruitful project. The Perm Opera and Ballet House is the one of the best in Russia.

There are several theatres in Perm, including the Drama theatre, the Puppet Theatre, the Theatre for Young Spectators, and the Theatre "Near Bridge". The Perm State Gallery serves to be one of the best among the other city museums and galleries. It is actually known for it’s exotic collections of art, paintings and wooden sculptures from the region .Perm is known for it’s scientific advancement. Some of the scientific institutes are combined in the Perm Scientific Center of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Perm is a home to several prime universities including Perm State University, Perm State Technical University, Perm State Teachers' Training University, Perm State Medical Academy, Perm State Pharmaceutical Academy, Perm State Agricultural Academy, The Institute of Art and Culture, Perm State Choreographic School, Perm Branch of State University Higher School of Economics and others.

There are also three military schools in Perm. So I advise one to go for buy house Perm, the residents will get the advantage of a cultural city on one hand and on the other the youths will get best educational trainings out here. Further there are recreational facilities for the residents because sports form an integral part of their life, the three main professional sports played in Perm are football, ice hockey and basketball.
